The car was shipped via freight, in a box, and a
friend and I picked it up in January, 1991 and had a great time
getting it off the trailer, but managed. I spent two months
putting the car together in order to have it ready for the opening
race at
Memphis
in March, 1991.
The Ruan Grand Prix in
Des Moines
has always been memorable because my car was the front page
headline in their paper. Think about that FRONT PAGE. How
many others can say that??
My favorite race track is Road
America
, the oval at
Charlotte
,
NC
and the oval at
Atlanta
raceway. I never did like Road Atlanta. I think every race will
linger in my memory so it would be hard to say just one. My last
race was the Dallas Grand Prix in September, 1996.
